The EdinburghCozy Chat

A conversation about the places, meals, streets, and small rituals that stay with you.

Some places linger long after you leave. These are conversations about first impressions, unexpected moments, changed perspectives, and the memories that followed me home.

Was there a moment when you thought, this is exactly why I came here?

When I was sitting at Clarinda's Tea Room on a Wednesday morning eating fresh fruit scone with cream tea. I thought, there's absolutely nowhere else I'd rather be than right here. I felt perfectly content.

Was there a neighborhood or street where you immediately felt comfortable?

Raeburn Street. This street is chock-a-box full of the best souvenir stores featuring local art, unique handmade items, and my favorite restaurant, The Scran and Scrallie.

Is there a habit, food, drink, shop, or little ritual from the trip that you wish you could bring into everyday life?

I wish I could bring back Swedish cinnamon buns from Söderberg Bakery. They are far superior to American cinnamon buns!
